I've seen this floating around Pinterest for the past week, and thought I would try it.
Very inexpensive, and creative whiteboard!
All you need is a frame, whiteboard marker/dry erase marker, and paint chips - along with something to cut the paint chips.
You need 7 paint chips, and make sure there are 6 different shades per chip.
I start by cutting off the writing on the left side, with an x-acto knife.
After I finished that, this is what I had:
Next, I glued the first paint chip the the insert that comes in the frame.
Then I measured to find out how much space I needed per chip.
My frame was 8" x 10", therefore I did 10/7 = 1.42857
I made a mark on the first chip, and then began gluing the remaining chips down.
I cut the excess off, by flipping the paper over, and cutting with an x-acto knife.
Then I placed the chip inset in the frame, and wrote on the glass with the whiteboard marker.
I also bought a 4"x6" frame to write notes on.
I printed out this picture, and added it to the frame.
