6 Reasons to Drink More Water

Information from WedMD and Mind Body Green
"It recommends that women consume a total of 91 ounces (that’s about 2.7 liters) per day – from all food and beverages combined. For men, it’s about 125 ounces a day (or 3.7 liters). Depending on your diet, about 25% of the water you consume comes from your food."

Water...
1. Makes Your Skin Look Good. When you don't drink enough water, your skin looks dry and wrinkled. When you keep hydrated, your skin is soft, smooth, glowing and fresh. It is also said to keep away wrinkles!

2. Helps Your Hair Grow. Keeping hydrated promotes a healthier scalp and healthier hair.
3. Increases Energy and Reduces Fatigue. Since the brain is made up of a lot of water, when you keep hydrated, it helps you focus and concentrate more. It also boosts your energy levels. If cells don't maintain fluid levels, it can also lead to muscle fatigue.
4. Flushes Out Toxins & Boosts Immune System. People who drink lots of water are less likely to get sick. As you drink lots of water, your body flushes out toxins through sweat and urination, which reduces the risks of kidney stones and UTI's.
5. Helps control Calories. Drinking water reduces your calorie intake, reduces hunger and raises your metabolism. It's like a natural hunger suppressant!
6. Prevents Cramps. All the hydration keeps your joins lubricated and more elastic. Your joints need moisture in order to be strong and flexible.
To top it all off, it puts you in a better mood because your body is functioning well!

  1. I began drinking water – lots of it during my 3 Day Military diet. It was an excellent way to flush out toxins from my body while hydrating me fully. I discovered that drinking water also made me feel full, since I’m consuming fewer calories on a strict low carb diet. It also helped my metabolism so I don’t feel sluggish at the same time. Today, I still drink 3 liters of water daily to help my skin looked radiant and to invigorate me. I stopped drinking sodas and sugary drink when I started the military diet so it made me lose around 7 pounds after 3 days. If you want to look into the diet, here’s a good link to draw inspiration for your next blog article.
