Chocolate Chip Cookies
Continuing my quest for the best chocolate chip cookies - I think I may have found the recipe! I have made these a few times, and they are perfect and delicious.
Also, the cookie dough stores really well in the fridge if you don't want to make them all at once!
I stored the dough for about two weeks, and took it out of the fridge about half an hour before I baked them - turned out perfect!

  • 1 1/4 cups of granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups of packed light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups of butter or margarine
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 cups of chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350°F

Chocolate Chip Cookies:
Melt the butter, and mix in the granulated sugar, and light brown sugar.

Next, add the vanilla and eggs, and stir.

Add the flour, baking soda and salt, and mix together.

Finally, mix in the chocolate chips.

Place on a non-stick baking tray, or parchment paper (on a baking sheet)

Use a cookie dough scoop, or roll balls about 2 tablespoons each.
Place 2-3 inches apart ... to make sure you don't end up with one massive cookie - (not that bad?!)

Bake for approx. 10 minutes, then remove from the oven, and let cool on the baking sheet.
