15 New Year's Resolutions

Happy New Year!
There are so many different new year's resolutions, but here are some of my favourites.
1. Drink more water
Drinking water is so important for your body! This is on my list of new years resolutions for the year. Check out my post on 6 reasons why drinking water is important, here.

2. Floss
Flossing is important to keep your teeth healthy! This has been an ongoing resolution for me - to floss once a day. It has worked for the past few years, and my teeth have been great!

3. Travel
Traveling is not only fun, but it is great to expand your cultural intelligence. 

4. Keep in touch
Keeping in touch is very hard with such busy lives, but if you take a few minutes out of your day to send a text or an email, it makes a big difference.

5. Eat healthier
I am guilty of this sometimes! Eat healthy can be hard, but it is important!
Eating healthy makes you feel better and will help you live a longer and healthier life.

6. Learn a new activity
There are so many people who say they would love to learn something but... make it the year where you put aside time to learn that activity!

7. Spend less, Save more
Stop buying useless things that you don't need! If you don't love it, don't buy it! Something I always do is carrying something around the store with me, and it gives me some time to think about it while I'm looking at other things.

8. Cook more
I make bake a lot, but I don't cook a wide variety of meals, and I know many people eat out a lot. Take some time to plan meals, make them, and learn some new dishes!

9. Stress less
Stress is terrible for you, so take some time to plan ways you can destress your life, and think of things you shouldn't be stressing on.

10. Watch less TV
So many people waste away their lives in front of the TV. Pick a few of your favourite shows, and only make time for them. Spend the rest of your time being productive.

11. Read more
Reading is great for the mind, so make it a goal to read one book a month, or whatever is reasonable for you!

12. Clear clutter
I've been doing this over the break - clearing all my clutter! If I haven't used it in the last year, to two years, I either threw it out or donated it. Anything left, was organized and boxed away.

13. Donate
Donate! Whether it's blood, or old clothes - there are millions of people who appreciate this!

14. Say thank you more
Being thankful and saying thank you are both very important things. It only takes a second to say thank you!

15. Exercise
Exercising is important to live a long and healthy life! Whether it's taking the stairs at work, or going to the gym. Plan exercise into your day!
