Afternoon Tea

When I was in England a few weeks ago I had the chance to check out a new place for afternoon tea! If you follow me on Instagram, you have seen many of these photos scattered throughout my feed, but I am sharing a little bit more about the day and a few more shots that aren't on Instagram!

Great Fosters is located just outside of London with beautiful buildings and gardens. It was built as a royal hunting lodge in 1550 and now operates as a hotel.

I had the chance to tour the rooms and gardens before tea. The rooms are stunning and like you have stepped back in time. I posted a few photos below so you can see how incredible it was! And yes, you can stay here! Like a Princess in a fairy tale! I can only imagine how incredible it would be to stay there over Christmas, with all of the holiday decor and atmosphere!

The afternoon tea was delicious! I ordered the vegetarian option (gluten free and other options are available) with incredible sandwiches. I also enjoyed the scones and desserts. I am glad I didn’t have any lunch before going, or dinner after because it was so much food and amazing quality! I even had leftover lemon drizzle cake, which they so kindly packed up in a cute box (pictured below). On a really lovely day you can sit and enjoy your afternoon tea in the gardens (again pictured below), but unfortunately it was a bit rainy earlier in the day, so I sat inside!

A few years ago, I had the chance to go to afternoon tea at the Ritz in London, and I felt like the quality and overall experience was much better at Great Fosters. I highly highly recommend visiting if you have the chance! I will definitely go back when I am in England again.

This post is not sponsored in any way, I just truly had a lovely experience and wanted to share it with you!
