My Weekend in Niagara-on-the-Lake

I didn't get up to that much this week, so I thought I would share what I got up to this weekend. Friday night we had a really lovely night in by the fire. We watched The Holiday Calendar on Netflix with tea and freshly baked muffins. This was the perfect lead up to our weekend because the movie was shot in Niagara-on-the-Lake, which we had no idea about until we put it on!
Saturday we got up bright and early and it was pouring. We made our drive to NOTL and walked around the town, into the cute little shops. It was absolutely pouring down with cold rain and wind. Not really the weather we had planned, but we made the best of it, and I think we made it into almost every shop on the main street. It is such a great spot for Christmas shopping! I picked up so many stocking stuffers and saw other amazing gift ideas there. We were a little bit early to check into the hotel, so we decided to drive to the outlets that are about 20 minutes from NOTL. It was really just too cold to stay outside so this was a great solution. We shopped for an hour, just popping into a few shops. After shopping, we checked into the Prince of Wales hotel. Our room was lovely with a fireplace so we warmed up, and got changed for the high tea we booked at the hotel. I am not sure how we managed to get the best table for high tea, but it was right beside the fire with gorgeous decor all around us. The first image in this post is our spot. High tea is my happy place, and the Christmas decor was amazing. That night we went to see Holiday Inn and it was amazing! I had never seen it before but recognized a lot of the music plus the singing and dancing was incredible. Sunday morning I got up early to get ready and take some photos. It was so rainy the day before, I was glad to have a rain-free morning. It was definitely chilly, but 10 minutes into taking photos it started to snow and created the most beautiful setting. The snow did become a bit crazy at some points, but I am so happy with so many of the photos. My favourite is the one in a red dress in front of a snowy storefront. After photos we had breakfast the Stagecoach, which is basically the Luke's diner of NOTL, at least in my opinion! We got back to Toronto in good time because I have my finals for courses this week and had so much to do!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
