Last Week in Photos...

What a week and weekend it has been! This week on Instagram and the blog I shared a cute wallpaper that I drew for Valentine's Day that you can find here as well as a cake recipe that I have now made twice and is absolutely delicious for Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Buttercream, which you can find here! Below I will give a little update on what I was up to this week in case you missed anything.

This week I got myself back into working out. I was definitely not looking forward to it and there were many aches felt this week. I used to religiously do the Kayla Itsines BBG program in 2016, I have the BBG 1 and BBG 2 pdf guides, and I decided to get back into them. They take 30 minutes a day, with 6 days. I decided I wanted to at least do 5 days a week, and if I got in the 6th day, that's great but no pressure. I also didn't want to change what I eat too much because, we all know I love my sweets! Plus, I think you have been enjoying the cakes as well, so I think that is something I am going to make a priority again. Baking! Monday-Friday this week looked a lot like: Work until 4:30, go home and workout, make dinner, do a little bit of work while watching tv and sleep. The work at night was mostly a bit of school work mixed with sourcing for a design project I am working on, mixed in with a bit of blog stuff. Friday I made another Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Buttercream because last week when I made the recipe, I had extra buttercream, which I froze. I pulled it out from the freezer on Thursday and put it into the fridge to thaw, then Friday I whipped it with the mixer for 5 minutes and it was good as new! I wanted to take step by step photos for the blog post recipe, plus I was celebrating my Dad's birthday Saturday. Saturday morning I went to brunch with my dad to one of my favourite brunch spots, Wish ... if you saw the french toast above, that's from wish. They also have incredible carrot cake pancakes with cream cheese frosting but they didn't have it on the menu during Winterlicious, so I'll have to go back! Dad and I then tried to do a little thrifting, which is something we always enjoy. We only managed to go to one shop, but I found a cute little vase for 99 cents! Its white ceramic with blue and pink painting on it. Then, I took my dad to the house that I am working on for a design project, because he loves home construction/design as well. Finally, we had a tea with the cake I made. As for Sunday, I enjoyed breakfast in bed with C and Lily. C has been away on and off for a few weeks, so it was nice to have him home and breakfast in bed is just what was called for! I then spent a lot of the day working on an assignment for school (based on Proxemics) and laundry - not too exciting. I am sure the next week will bring similar activities but I am hoping to give you a little look into the project I am working on! Have an amazing start to the week, loves!

Ps. I featured this adorable Dior dupe dress in my stories but couldn't help but share it here too! It was $29 including tax and shipping, but they have it 50% off right now, so it's more like $26. Click here to shop this beautiful dress (affiliate link). Only a few sizes left. I got a US 6 and because of the elasticated waist, it fits well! I could have bought a US 4, but happy with the 6 as well, lots of room to expand in the waist.
